Before you embark on this great adventure, here are 7 essential things you should know about the Brigit's Afternoon Tea:

7. Conclusion of our Brigit's Afternoon Tea review

1. Why choose Brigit's Afternoon Tea?

One of my favorite parts is definitely the cool vintage red double-decker from the 1960s that sets the tone for the whole experience. The way they've set up the interior shows they've got a real eye for style and detail. It's like stepping back in time in the best way possible!

Now, onto the experience itself, which is truly unique and, in my opinion, way more interesting than having afternoon tea in a traditional place. While the tickets might not be the cheapest, the attention to detail they've put into everything is incredible. Plus, it's not something you do every day.

Finally, Bridget's Bakery has been a popular spot in London for ages, right in the heart of Covent Garden. People rave about their teas, cakes, and scones, they're really high quality. You're in for a real treat with every bite!

2. What's included?

They've got a fantastic selection of top-quality teas served in these lovely silicone cups that you get to keep. If you want to add a little extra sparkle to your experience, make sure to book with prosecco or champagne beforehand, you won't be able to add it later!

Now, onto the treats; they've got something for everyone, from freshly baked scones to delicious sandwiches and pastries that are all top-notch quality. You can check the full menu here.

3. Route and Timetable

Brigit's Afternoon Tea route map

Their London Routemaster bus will treat you to breathtaking views of renowned attractions like Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, St James's Park, Hyde Park, The Royal Albert Hall, Marble Arch, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, and many more.

The Classic Afternoon Tea Bus Tour is available year-round with seven daily departures from either Victoria Coach Station or Trafalgar Square.

Here are the departure times:

12:00; 12:30; 13:00 14:30; 15:00; 15:30; 17:00

4. Things to consider

Vintage Bus

You won't have as much space as you would on a regular double-decker bus. When the bus is fully booked, it can feel a bit cramped. However, in my opinion, this just adds to the experience.

Traffic

Try to avoid booking your tour during the busiest times, like early morning or around four or five in the afternoon when traffic is at its peak. Even with some delays, the tour's still worth it!

Summer

On hot, sunny summer days, the interior of the bus can get warm. Make sure you are wearing light and breathable clothing.

Pricing

If you go for seating on the upper deck, be aware that the prices are notably higher than lower deck seats. While the upper deck provides excellent views, especially for taking photos, it comes at an additional cost.

Limited availability

Make sure to book your tour well in advance since it's one of the most popular double-decker tours in London. Even if you book a few weeks ahead, you're not too early!

If you can't find available seats on your day of choice or if you're interested in a similar experience, check out this blog post for more information.

5. Additional tours on offfer

If you're planning to visit London with your little ones, their Peppa Pig Afternoon Tea Bus Tour is a must-try experience. Their unique tour operates from Thursdays to Sundays and offers 2 or 3 tours per day, starting at Somerset House. What makes this tour truly special is their specially designed Peppa Pig-inspired menu, created by their talented chefs. I guarantee the kids will absolutely love it. They'll also enjoy sing-alongs, have a blast with the provided activity book, and even take home a cool branded travel mug.

It's a fantastic choice for families. It runs twice a day from Wednesday to Sunday, starting at Trafalgar Square. This charming themed bus tour offers a Paddington-inspired menu, including his favorite marmalade sandwiches. You'll also enjoy onboard entertainment with Paddington and Mrs. Bird narrating your tour of London.

Prepare for the ultimate experience for gin enthusiasts! Bombay Sapphire and Brigit's Bakery have teamed up to create the ultimate Gin Lovers Afternoon Tea Sightseeing Bus Tour. Enjoy classic and inventive 'G & Ts' and indulge in gin-infused cakes while riding on a vintage Routemaster bus.

6. Ticket Options

Lower deck

These seats are more affordable, starting at £45 for adults and £35 for children. However, they tend to sell out quickly, so you need to be swift in booking them.

Upper deck

These seats are pricier, going for £75 for adults and £65 for children.

Make sure you book online a few days in advance to avoid dissapointment.

7. Conclusion of our Brigit's Afternoon Tea review

Even though it might be a bit pricier compared to other tours, the experience you get is truly unique. From the moment you step aboard the bus you will feel special. The sights, the tastes, the atmosphere, it's really something that you should not miss. Everyone who got off the bus seemed to do so with a big smile on their face.
